  • CONTENT AND PURPOSES

    In January 2008, the Municipality of Livorno decided to experiment an innovative type of decision making process concerning the renewal and the future use of the 'Cisternino', an ancient building historically used for water supply. The process was proposed by a citizen association, the “Laboratory for the future of Livorno”. The process had the ambitious goal to reflect on the present situation of the historical building and imagine a desirable future on the basis of the past.

    La Regione Toscana dopo avere adottato il piano paesaggistico, con tutte le salvaguardie che ne derivano per il territorio, prima della sua approvazione conclusiva intende attivare un dibattito pubblico con i cittadini e la cultura scientifica e professionale in materia (esperti), sulla base di quanto prevede la legge sulla partecipazione (L.R.69/2007).

    “Porto le Mie Idee” is a participatory project promoted by a group of citizens of Marina di Carrara (a district of the city of Carrara), to make the project of the construction of the new water-front presented by the port authorities of Carrara suitable to the needs of the community. This group of citizens organized in the Committee “Marina si ribella” in 2009 turns itself into the association AmareMarina, which collected 600 signatures in order to obtain funding from the regional Participation Authority of Tuscany to carry out the project.
