  • Committee on Social Inclusion and Participative Democracy

    The Committee on Social Inclusion and Participative Democracy aims to encourage the exchange of experiences on social inclusion policies in cooperation with organized civil society. The UCLG Committee brings together cities that have been active in the Forum of Local Authorities for Social Inclusion (FAL), which was established in 2001 during the World Social Forum.

    Mission and Purpose

    The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) is a space open to all cities in the world and all associations, organizations and research centres interested in learning about, exchanging impressions and applying experiences of participatory democracy on a local scale with the aim of deepening the roots of democracy in municipal government.

    QUE ES MESA DE LA RIA

    Somos un movimiento social compuesto por más de 30 colectivos entre los que se encuentran partidos políticos, sindicatos, ecologistas, Colegios Oficiales, Asociaciones de Vecinos, ONG´s, etc. y ciudadanos que individualmente participan y colaboran en las actividades y debates que desde la Mesa de la Ría se impulsan.

    Este movimiento social tiene su máxima representatividad en la Asamblea, siendo esta el foro de organización, debate, comunicación y demás actividades que desde su consenso se adoptan.
