The UPR Strike of 2010 (or Huelga del 2010 de la Universidad de Puerto Rico began on April 21, 2010 as a 48-hour strike at the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras.

The Annenberg Institute for School Reform (AISR) at Brown University is a non-profit research and reform organization that works with various school systems and communities to promote a higher quality of learning for students inside and outside of schools.

The 1st Inuit Circumpolar Youth Symposium on the Inuit Language was a four-day conference during which twenty Inuit youths representing four territories (Canada, Alaska, Greenland, and Russia) arrived in Iqaluit, Nunavut to deliberate on issues surrounding the idea of a common language among all Inuit peoples across the world in order to promote a unified Inuit community. Due to the vast regions that the Inuit call home, representatives from each region discussed issues occurring within their own community, whether it is in Alaska, Canada, Greenland, or Russia.

Purpose and Problem

The Student Government at the University of Washington, the Associated Students of the University of Washington, created the Student Senate in 1994. The goal was to have a diverse legislative body to give the Executive body, the Board of Control, advice on issues important to students, prioritize concerns, and offer solutions.

I. Purpose and Mission of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform:

The purpose and mission of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform is to challenge to the nation to improve public education in America by enhancing the quality of learning for youth in urban communities across the country.

Public Agenda is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization in the United States that undertakes ongoing issues and “provides citizens and leaders the tools they need to tackle them.” PublicAgenda is afflicted with multiple sources that all focus on ensuring that public’s views are represented in decision-making. On their online website, PublicAgenda.org, which is an issues guide and a citizen’s survival kit, they inform citizens about issues and ways they can engage and participate in making a change.

Mission and Purpose

The Keystone Center was founded in 1975 by Robert W. Craig and is a non-profit organization who's headquarters are in Keystone, Colorado with other offices in Denver and Washington, DC. The main purpose of the Keystone Center is to seek ways to solve our society's most demanding environment, energy and public health problems.
