Mission and Purpose

            One of Citizens for Democracy primary objectives is to create a democratic culture in Pakistan. Part of this focus includes work to counteract religion in politics and state affairs. To do this they must call upon all of its members to unite in a stand against the current usage of the ‘blasphemy laws’ and religion in politics.

Problems and Purpose

Oregon Citizens' Initiative Review 2010 Measure 73 (Oregon CIR 2010 M73) was a Citizens' Initiative Review (CIR) held in the U.S. state of Oregon, on the topic of Measure 73, a proposed statute that would impose mandatory minimum criminal sentences for certain repeat offenses concerning driving while intoxicated and for certain sexual offenses.

Definition

The Center for Communication and Civic Engagement (CCCE) is a Seattle, WA-based organization whose mission is to understand “communication processes and media technologies that facilitate positive citizen involvement in politics and social life”[1].

Problema y Propósito

Antes de comentar el caso de la guardia indígena, es importante mencionar que los indígenas son un grupo social bastante específico, por cuanto son ciudadanos, pero no tienen los intereses ni la concepción de un ciudadano regular. Incluso, para algunas tribus indígenas, el ciudadano regular y las instituciones del estado son vistas con desprecio. Y esta particularidad, ha permitido que los indígenas hayan llevado a cabo el proceso de formación de la guardia indígena de la manera como se muestra a continuación.

This is a proposed revision of the United States Constitution which aims to improve the current Constitution in areas such as foreign policy architecture, citizenship, and rotation of offices while retaining other features such as checks and balances and divided government. The goal is to encourage collaboration to draft and ratify a better version of the United States Constitution.

Purpose and Mission

Everyday Democracy works with individuals in communities throughout the United States to improve local democracy by creating and sustaining public dialogue and problem solving. Everyday Democracy’s mission is “to help communities develop their own ability to solve problems by exploring ways for all kinds of people to think, talk and work together to create change."
