Associate professor , Department of Management Engineering, Technical University of Denmark

Present research fields:

  • Strategies for sustainable transition in sectors and nations
  • Environmental management and innovation in companies and product chains 
  • User participation and user-producer interaction in technological changes
  • Technology assessment and technology foresight of sectors and technology areas

Some recent relevant academic activities:

2002-2004  Participation in evaluation of the Danish experience with local and regional environmental networks for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency.

2002-2007  Participation in three projects about concepts for assessment of resource streams and  resource efficiency as part of the Danish strategy for integrated product policy initiatives

2004-2005  Project manager on Green Technology Foresight of nanotechnology, biotechnology and ICT together with Risoe National Laboratory

2004-present Participation in EU Network of Excellence on atmospheric chemistry (ACCENT). Co-managing the focus on interaction with policy makers and civil society

2005-2006  Participation in the project “Waste prevention, waste policy and innovation” financed by the EU via ESTO (European Science and Technology Observatory).

2006-present  Project manager on research project about innovation processes in sustainable houses.

2008-2009  Responsible for strategic development for food, agriculture and biomass in Danish Society of Engineers’ climate plan

2010-present  Manager of DSRC-funded strategic research alliance on transitions to a low carbon society
