Biography:
Patrizia's current research projects examine processes of citizen participation in Germany, Austria and in the European Union. The main focus is their democratic quality and their relationship with representative institutions. Her Handbook of citizen participation (Handbuch Bürgerbeteiligung. Verfahren und Akteure. Chancen und Grenzen. Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, with Miriam Fritsche) gives an overview and hands-on account of the most common methods of participation.
