Il problema in questione scaturiva dalla definizione degli aspetti operativi connessi alla realizzazione di un impianto di depurazione a servizio dell'area umida protetta denominata “Padule di Fucecchio”, e più un generale ha riguardato la ristrutturazione del sistema di depurazione civile del Comune di Ponte Buggianese e della Val di Nievole.

This project sought to involve citizens in rectifying the economic, social and cultural problems resulting from poor management of the area's natural resources. The intended outcome was a 'Territorial Statute': a socially shared “contract” to regulate use so as to transform and maintain the resources and landscape.
