Currently I am studying for a PhD at the Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD), University of Westminster, London. My research centres around the potential of Participatory Budgeting and the distinction between ‘participation in politics’ and ‘political participation’.

I joined Participedia in July 2013 as a part-time Research Associate and am I excited about being involved in such an interesting and innovative project.

I have tried my hand at a few things including working as a TEFL teacher in China while doing Voluntary Services Overseas, University degrees, building a house in Latvia, research for St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation & Peace and the Bishop of London, and working in a local dress shop. What endured through all these experiences was a strong interest in Political Philosophy and a preoccupation with the various articulations, across many disciplines, concerning the (im?)possibility of revolution.

I now live in north-west London with my husband and two cats.
