My name is Zelalem Tesfaye. An Ethiopian. I have LL.B degree in Law, graduated with great distinictition from Haramaya University, Ethiopia, in 2007. I earned my MPhil in Indigenous studies in 2012 from University of Tromso, Norway. Currently, I am PhD student at University of Coimbra, Portugal, in the programme of Democracy in XXI Century. I am lecturer in Law at Dilla University, Ethiopia and my research interest is on Democratic Innovations in XXI Century. Especially, investingating deliberative democracy from African philosophy and practices. I am working on indigenous democracy, legal pluralism and deliberative democracy as alternative to liberal or majoritarian democracy. I
