The Participation Observatory is the space that collects and presents monitoring activities, analyzes, data and statistics on participation in Emilia-Romagna and Italy.
The Participation Observatory was designed to create a common space of interaction and exchange between the various actors involved in the participatory processes, capable of enhancing the knowledge and commitment of groups, organizations, representatives spread across society; systematize the information relating to the different participatory experiences; enhance the experiences that allow the development of participatory democracy.
On the citizen side, the Observatory allows: to have multiple criteria and methods of selection of processes available, to reach the information sought in a few steps; to access the contents of the Observatory organized in lists that are easy to use and graphically consistent with the contents and the territorial location of the processes (georeferencing); to report observations and additions in the description of participatory processes; to leave comments and report new participation experiences and to interact directly with the system; to also know the experiences of other Italian regions, to acquire ideas, seize opportunities for growth and facilitate the comparison between different territories.
