Background History and Context

Bonn4Future is the citizen participation process for the Council decision for Bonn to be climate-neutral by 2035 at the latest. Together, Bonn citizens, various (civil) social actors, politics, administration and science are looking for an answer to how climate neutrality can succeed in Bonn. Bonn4Future was promoted by Bonn in Transition, the Bonn climate guard and many organizations and initiatives created by Bonn. In September 2020, the City Council of Bonn Majority and support of almost all parties decided "Bonn4Future - We for the climate! to promote.
