Randomly selected 84 citizens from all regions of Austria and all sections of society sat down between January and June 2022 to figure out what to do today to live in a climate-neutral future tomorrow.

Problems and Purpose

As a kind of "mini-Austria" they developed Recommendations to actively shape Austria's climate future

to help shape the citizens of the Climate Council.

The Austrian Climate Council was commissioned by the National Council

Organizing, Supporting, and Funding Entities

Learning intensively over six weekends on the Climate Council, listening, developing a large number of ideas and discussing them passionately. Many were also working between the weekends with great commitment. discussed climate protection issues with politicians and in public statements and suggestions are taken.

Participant Recruitment and Selection

Randomly selected citizens from all regions and parts of society dealt with this question. Together they were the Climate Council. As a kind of "mini-Austria", they developed measures to actively help shape the future of the country's climate.
