Mission and Purpose

The International Civil Society Consortium is a network of nonprofit organization from many countries that promote positive democratic institutions and public deliberation. The group of organizations from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and Africa have been meeting since 1991. The original meeting was set up and facilitated by the Kettering Foundation.
