Tunde, A. Abioro holds a PhD in Political Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria where he is also a Faculty Member and he lectures in the Department of Local Government and Development Studies. Currently, he is a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Human Rights and Restorative Justice, McMaster University, ON, Canada. His research interest is in comparative governance, legislative studies, public policy, and human security. He has conducted research on land-related struggles that played out through religious, and ethnic dimensions as well as agrarian changes in Nigeria and is willing to expand it to transforming societies. Currently, he is researching democratic backsliding in Africa. He has a number of peer-reviewed contributions to books, journals, and conference proceedings in reputable local and international outlets either singly or in collaboration with colleagues. He is a member of the Nigerian Political Science Association; International Political Science Association, USA; Development Studies Association, United Kingdom; and Canadian Association of African Studies.
