Robert Malayao

He finished his Masters of Science in Building Science and Technology at the Vienna University of Technology (TU-Wien) in Vienna, Austria. Ar. Malayao is the incoming program coordinator for the Architecture Graduate Program and is teaching architecture professional courses for the Department of Architecture of the University of San Carlos since 2013. 

He was also the Planning Section Head of the Institute for Planning and Design, a research unit of the USC School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design. In 2015, Ar. Malayao joined Ar. Crisostomo to form November Creative Studio which later on evolved to Botteghe 8290. With the partnership came the design and management of projects that ranged from residential to commercial and institutional buildings.

Passing the Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate Examination meant that Ar. Malayao is a USGBC-registered Green Building Professional and is qualified to assist in the application of buildings for LEED and/or BERDE Green Building Certifications.

As an architect, he served the United Architects of the Philippines - Cebu Chapter as its officer in various capacities and ultimately its Chapter President in F.Y. 2021-2022.
