VUCP- Voice for UN Convention on the Poor
Member Since 2023VUCP is a citizen’s platform to raise the voices of people to end poverty through the United Nations Convention to eliminate all forms of inequalities and oppression against poor people.
In Bangladesh, since 2021 we have started discussions on a very small scale with interested persons on this proposed convention. In 2023 we formed a trustee board to manage an organization to work on this idea, with highly committed people who mostly have very good long track records in poverty alleviation programs.
We are planning to involve civil society, NGOs, and state policymakers in this movement. We need some formal platforms at the state, regional and international levels to create effective movements for this issue.
This is a huge goal to materialize. We are seeking every kind of support from anywhere to move the proposition to its final goal.
