Zintle Zweni is currently completing her Honours in Political Studies at the University of the Western Cape. Her research examines the extent to which democratic innovations, such as Citizens' Assemblies, meaningfully include young people, a group often perceived as distant from formal politics, as a way of strengthening democracy. Her work contributes to the field of democracy by exploring how these innovations foster youth inclusion and deepen participatory and deliberative democratic practice.
