Claudia Fernandez de Cordoba Farini is the founder of Living Imaginaries working to transform governance by reshaping the imaginaries that underpin it. Her work spans climate, biodiversity, food, health, and justice, engaging with the political and economic systems that structure how these challenges are understood and addressed. She works across policy, research, and creative practice to convene, co-design, and prototype alternative governance approaches, supporting institutions to move beyond crisis response toward relational, more-than-human futures, and the conditions needed to make those futures real.

Based between London and Seoul, she is currently completing her PhD at University College London, where she explores how biodiversity governance can be reimagined through multi-species justice and post-neoliberal approaches, with a focus on alternative governance models for rivers and oceans.

Previously, she has worked across Europe and Asia-Pacific with the World Health Organization, UK Government, Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, and UCL Warning Research Centre, leading and advising on food systems, One Health, disaster risk reduction, and environmental governance.

Claudia Fernandez de Cordoba Farini wrote the entries as part of the More-than-Human Democratic Innovations collection hosted by Participedia. The project is led by Lucy J. Parry in collaboration with Hans Asenbaum, both from the Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Graham Smith at the University of Westminster, with support from Living Imaginaries. The project is funded by Participedia and the Centre for Animals and Social Justice.
