Florida transportation officials have set up a website for “citizen engagement” on three planned toll roads as part of a state-wide initiative to help revitalize communities, prepare for future population growth, and aid in disaster evacuations.

Problems and Purpose

Citizen input will be sourced through an online civic engagement platform on Florida's Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program. M-CORES is intended to revitalize rural communities, encourage job creation and provide regional connectivity while leveraging technology, enhancing the quality of life and public safety, and protecting the environment and natural resources.[1]
