Influence, Outcomes, and Effects

This mini-public focusing on chances for youth developed several policy recommendations. These recommendations looked into ways future development must be in order to guarantee successful development for the region’s youth. Chances for youth to succeed increase, when: (1) a strong societal solidarity based on relationships and norms exists; (2) a respectful political culture exists; (3) tolerance and trust towards youth is shown and youth get room to participate in order to show responsibility; (4) space and security in the public sphere is created; (5) educational equality of opportunity regardless of background; (5) job positions are given and equally distributed; (6) social services are fair and have self-sustaining incentives; (7) there is enough affordable housing for coming generations. These recommendations were presented at a Bürgercafé (citizens’ café) on May 25th 2016 at Festspielhaus in Bregenz.
