The Mini-Public on Household Waste (Conférence citoyenne sur les déchets ménagers) was convened by the regional government of Île de France in 2008. 25 participants met 3 times across 3 weekends to deliberate and write a final report.

Participants wrote a report (made public on May 20, 2008) with some policy recommendations (e.g. reducing local taxes for people living next to a waste disposal site; monetary incentives for recycling and reducing the volume of waste). The policy impact remains unknown.
