The German Citizen Conference on High-Tech Medicine (Bürgerreport Hightech-Medizin – Welche Gesundheit wollen wir?) was part of a nationwide dialogue on high-tech medicine organized in 2011 by the federal ministry of research. It involved 100 citizens, who deliberated for 1 day.

The dialogue included four phases: focus groups, online forums (open to anyone), six regional citizen conferences with randomly selected participants, and a final meeting with all participants of the regional conferences (which resulted in a final report with policy recommendations). The topics of the citizen conferences were neural implants, palliative medicine and telemedicine.
