The Consultation of Citizens: Aveiro (Consulta Aos Cidadãos - Aveiro) was organized by the Portuguese government. In 2016, 50 citizens were invited to gather for one day and to deliberate on government recent policies and on demands for the future years.
Problems and Purpose
The Portuguese government presented in its last electoral manifesto (2015) the idea of a citizens' audit in order to evaluate government performance and to collect new ideas. Two of such events were organized.
