Mission and Purpose
As of June 2014 Action Associative began working on introducing participatory budgeting in four Tunisian municipalities. Its mission is to increase citizens’ trust in local authorities and to improve transparency. The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) is supporting the fourth phase of a pilot project where citizens will decide themselves how to allocate part of the municipal budget.
