I am a Master of Arts student in the Political Studies department at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. My research interests are on participatory democracy, specifically youth participation in democracy using social media. I am also interested in how social media impacts democratic participation in South Africa. Outside of academic research, I find interest in the link between social data and consumer behavior, and I spend my time exploring this for a living.
