Problems and Purpose
"BA Chooses. Ideas that transform the City" is an initiative that was created as a program of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, aimed at seeking greater participation of the neighbors who live in the 15 communes of the Argentine capital. The initiative began in March 2017 as a result of the collaboration between the Citizen Participation area of the Government of Buenos Aires and the City of Madrid. It is a digital platform that promotes citizen participation in the decision-making process and in the control of public affairs. Through the platform, neighbors can make proposals to improve their environment and support those suggested by other neighbors. The initiative seeks to inform citizens about existing participatory mechanisms while facilitating their access, with the purpose of achieving local management that promotes open government practices. In 2019, it carried out its second edition.
