The Civic Hackathon aimed to be a space for citizen participation in order to promote innovation in the creation and implementation of public policies in Brazil.

Problems and Purpose

The Civic Hackathon organized by Politize! in conjunction with the School of the Legislative of Santa Catarina was held from June 29 to July 1, 2018. The objective of this hackathon was to create a space for citizen participation in the process of creating and implementing innovative public policies in Brazil. Around 50 participants, accompanied by two designers, two public managers and a lawyer, shared and exchanged ideas to improve health, education and public safety services in the country.
