Mission and Purpose
The Pugliese Institute of Economic and Social Research (IPRES) is an association of public bodies in the Puglia region. The activities of the Institute are aimed at ensuring, through study and research activities, the definition, implementation and evaluation of regional development policies. [1]

Organizational Structure, Membership, and Funding
Founding Members are the Puglia Region, the Provinces of Bari, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce and Taranto, the Municipalities of Bari, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce and Taranto, the Polytechnic of Bari, the University of Bari "Aldo Moro", the University of Foggia and the University of Salento, the Chambers of Commerce of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto and the ISPE (ASP).
