Origins and Development
Established in 2004 by current Directors, Rhuari Bennett and Richard Harris, 3KQ began as a means to “combine their experience in stakeholder engagement with their passion for sustainable development.”[1]

Since 2004, 3KQ has grown to a team of 9 led by Bennett and Harris, who bring a “combination of more than 150 years of experience in the field of public and stakeholder engagement.”[1]

Specializations, Methods and Tools
3KQ focuses on sustainability, social, and scientific issues, ranging from community cohesion to wind farms.[2] They design and facilitate engagement of various groups of stakeholders, communities of interest, and members of the public, through methods such as workshops. 3KQ’s work ranges from local dispute mediation and consensus-building to formal consultation processes and evaluations of participatory projects.[2] Their independent assessments focus on “measuring a project’s compliance against its objectives and good practice criteria, and capturing wider learning on aspects such as governance and impacts.”[2] Furthermore, they provide training in: facilitation skills; engagement planning and design; consensus-building; and managing high-tension projects.[2]
