Saying and Doing, is a 2017 initiative to strengthen citizen participation at the local level, aiming to link technology and social innovation to the interests of youth in order to create lasting peace in Colombia.
Problems and Purpose
Saying and Doing (Span. Diciendo y Haciendo), is an initiative aimed at strengthening citizen participation at the local level. It was born in 2017 with the purpose of linking technology and social innovation to the interests of young people, with a view to building peace and achieving sustainable development goals. In the initial phase of the project, 10 proposals were received of which four were implemented: Colidérate; Con empleo vamos por ti; Todos al aula; and Voces de mi barrio. Later, in 2018, the project's coverage was extended to the regions of Córdoba and Urabá.

The project is led by Movilizatorio, and has the support of the United Nations Development Programme and the Embassy of Sweden in Colombia.
Participant Recruitment and Selection
It started with an open call for young people between 18 and 30 years old in Apartadó, Florencia and Montería, and the next step was to carry out three camps to identify joint actions.
