The Judicial Power in Costa Rica opened a direct communication channel for citizens to share their visions and useful contributions, from a constructive and collaborative perspective.

Problems and Purpose

Within the framework of the Citizen Participation Program of the Judiciary, the Citizen Contribution Platform was set up in cooperation with the National Commission for the Improvement of the Administration of Justice. The objective of the digital platform is to open an easy and direct communication channel so that users can exercise their constitutional right to citizen participation. Through this platform, citizens can engage in a constructive way in the policies and decision-making processes of the judicial system, sharing their doubts and contributions through an online form. The tool includes a list with the benefits of citizen participation, short descriptions of the forms and processes of involvement, a section to share participation experiences and a segment with access to information resources from the Citizen Participation Program of the Judiciary, such as bulletins, videos and guides.
