What Went On: Process, Interaction, and Participation

A first citizen workshop of randomly drawn residents was held in 2010, to explore the subject and provide initial recommendations expressing expectations based on the expertise of citizens. These proposals were integrated into scenarios which were presented in 2012 to a new panel, half composed of people who had already participated in 2010. These scenarios were criticized and evaluated collectively by the citizens in order to help the TCMS in the finalization and public presentation of the urban travel plan (Plan de Déplacement Urbain, or PDU). From 2011 to 2012, there were also a series of public meetings, PDU cafés, and thematic workshops bringing together socio-economic actors (companies, development councils, associations and unions) and a wise committee made up of experts from the territory. A forum was hosted at the end of 2012 that consolidated and publicly presented all of these contributions to the PDU.
